Friday Favorites (Gift Edition!)
Happy Friday! It’s been maybe the longest week EVER - between the post-Christmas hangover, the New Year sleep hangover and going back to school on Wednesday (talk about a shock to the system), we have never been more READY for the weekend!
I’m sharing my Friday favorites today, but they’re all things we received for Christmas that have been played with a ton, or used a ton by myself or Collin. They’d make great gifts for yourself or great birthday gifts for whoever in your life! So here we go!
One of my favorite and without question most-used already is my short uggs. They’re versatile, it’s freezing here this time of year and I can throw them on for errands or school pickup without socks (because socks are the devils creation) and they’re just perfect. Listen, I know UGGS in public aren’t everyone’s thing, but when you’re getting 4 kids out of the door and survival is #1, these are where it’s at. But I also think that the people who don’t like uggs in public (in certain situations) also don’t think leggings are anything but activewear. And so, they’re dead to me.
I was gifted this book for my birthday and am LOVING it so far. SO much wisdom, makes a beautiful coffee table book but also a great book to read through for inspiration. Will definitely be buying this for future gifts.
I bought this for the girls as a joint gift (we did a TON of that this year, which totally eliminates the “hey this is MINE!” scenario) and I don’t think it’s been put away once!! They’re adorable pillows that fold out into make-believe play sets like a doctor’s office or a baby nursery (we actually have both!) These bath toys from the same brand make another amazing gift and are a huge hit in our house!
We live in Seattle, which means we get rain for at least 5 months out of the year. Collin doesn’t have an office that he sits down in, so he’s always out and about, running through the city. I bought him a pair of these boots so he can stay dry without looking like he’s rocking giant rainboots to work! He’s loved them so far, and they look awesome with his other favorite thing (if you know Collin, you know his love for these ), his ABC pants!
Lastly, the girls were actually gifted these stuffies for their birthday (thanks, Mel!) and I ended up buying two more for Norah and Baylor at Christmas because they’re JUST that good. (Not going to lie, I also bought two more for our best friend’s kids! HA!) — They’re super soft stuffies, you heat them up in the microwave for 90 seconds and it’s an instant heating pad. The kids are obsessed and we don’t go a night without them.
We’re headed to the snow for the weekend - have an amazing weekend and let’s kick ASS next week!
